Women's Tennis Downs West Chester
BLOOMSBURG. - The Bloomsburg University women's tennis team defeated West Chester by an 8-1 score on Saturday at Bloomsburg University.
The Huskies jumped out to a 2-1 lead after doubles with the number two team of Katie Hasyn (Lansdale/North Penn) and Kristen Bonito (Bridgewater, MA/Coyle Cassidy Academy) taking an 8-0 victory.
In single action, the Huskies won all six matches to easily post the 8-1 victory. Hasyn was a winner at number one by a score of 62-, 6-3, while Laura Sullivan (Dingman's Ferry/Delaware Valley) was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at number four singles.
Bloomsburg, 8-3, hosts Adelphia University tomorrow at 11 a.m. That is an hour and a half later than the originally scheduled start time.
